Sometimes when there has been a family conflict or betrayal, it’s natural to feel that you want to have your say. We work with lots of women who’ve been badly let down by relatives they thought they could count on. Recently we’ve had several stories involving fathers – the one man every woman should be able to depend on. But for these clients, their dads have seriously undermined that relationship. You can read the full versions by clicking on the images below.

MURDER! I FORGIVE DAD FOR KILLING MY STEP-MUM

Rachel was just 11 when her dad, Charles, was jailed for 15 years for murdering his third wife, Julie – Rachel’s step-mum. Charles had discovered his son from a previous relationship was having an affair with Julie and his jealous rage led him to murder. With Charles now out of prison, Rachel, 28, has incredibly been able to forgive her dad for the brutal crime of passion, and is trying to rebuild their relationship. Her story appeared in Best magazine.

MUM MADE ME HAVE A BABY – WITH HER HUBBY

Desperate for a bigger council house Sophie, 33, turned to mum Margaret for help. That’s when Margaret came up with a sick suggestion. She convinced Sophie to sleep with her 59-year-old husband – Sophie’s stepdad – in a sick bid to get pregnant and be awarded a larger home. Shockingly, Sophie agreed – only for Margaret, 56, to launch a legal bid for custody of the baby. In 2011 Sophie won her case to keep her girl. Her story appeared in Take A Break.

BETRAYED! ROBBED — BY MY LONG-LOST DAD

Amanda, 41, was thrilled when she was reunited with her father Geoffrey after nearly 30 years apart following her parents’ divorce. Geoffrey was the doting grandad… until it was revealed the disgraced solicitor had secretly been stealing thousands of pounds. He was found guilty of swiping  £165,000 from clients and jailed. Now Amanda wishes she’d never reunited with her deceitful dad. Her story was in Pick Me Up magazine after we also secured her a deal with Bella.
