Happy New Year – hope 2013 has been treating everyone well so far! We’ve taken down the Christmas fairy lights and are back to business as usual at the Sell My Story office. It’s not all bad though – there are lots of plans in the pipeline to make this year our best ever, so we’re ready to be very busy.

Kelly, 30, started piling on the pounds as a child. She was dubbed “jelly belly Kelly” by cruel classmates, and even tried to kill herself. In her misery her weight spiralled out of control. Tipping the scales at 29 stone, in 2007 she resorted to £20,000 of weight loss surgery. After losing 16 stone of flab she met Gary, 33. The pair married at the end of 2012 and Kelly glided down the aisle as a slinky size 14 bride. Her story was in this week’s Take A Break.

Hayley, 35, had unprotected sex with her boyfriend Les, 48, for five months before the pair split in 2007. Then in January 2011 she received a shocking visit from police who revealed that Les was HIV positive – and had been since 2003. Thankfully Hayley was clear but in February Les was charged with GBH after infecting another woman. He was found guilty and was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in jail. We already negotiated Hayley a deal with the Sun newspaper, and now she’s told her story in Reveal magazine.

When Helen, 27, suffered stomach pain and sickness docs diagnosed gallstones and removed her gallbladder, but her symptoms continued. Then doctors discovered the reason behind her ongoing stomach bug – she was pregnant. And she was six months gone. Realising surgeons had operated unaware she was expecting, Helen was terrified. Thankfully, her surprise baby was born healthy in February. She told her story in Chat magazine.
