Let’s be honest, we haven’t had a great summer so far this year. All we’ve had is rain, rain, rain – and according to the weatherman, it’s going to last until the end of August! So it’s no surprise that we’re all thinking about packing a suitcase and jetting off to somewhere exotic. Magazine editors must also have sunny holidays on the brain, because they’re all looking for summer stories at the moment!

If you’ve got a story about a summer holiday which you’d like to tell, now is the best time to do it. Perhaps you had an unexpected memorable holiday? Give us a call on 0117 973 0705 to discuss your story. Alternatively, fill in the form on the right and one of our writers will give you a call.

DON’T TELL THE BRIDE!

Lynn, 48, thought she was having the holiday of a lifetime when her partner Brian proposed to her on a beach in Ibiza. But then Brian revealed an even bigger surprise – they were tying the knot later that very day, in front of their family!. Brian had been secretly planning the wedding for months, unknown to Lynn. The pair will celebrate their first anniversary this summer. We placed their story in Real People magazine.

HELP ME, I’VE GONE BLIND

Varenka, 22, was enjoying a night out clubbing with her friends when she was viciously punched in an unprovoked attack. When she got home she experienced two strokes, and spent the next week-and-a-half in hospital. Shockingly, the attack has cost her the eyesight in both her eyes and she’s been forced to give up her dream of being an air hostess. We placed her story in Take a Break magazine.

JANE MCDONALD FOUND ME A FIANCE!

As a lonely teenager Tamsin, 19, found friends and comfort on a Facebook group dedicated to her idol, Jane McDonald. She was an active member for two years before another fan, Scott, 17, took a shine to her and sent her a private message. Emails led to texts which led to a nervous meet-up. The pair are now deliriously in love and got engaged last week – all thanks to Jane. Their story is in this week’s Bella magazine.
